I am trying to crawl a RoboHelp website we are using for field procedures with SharePoint 2010 so the content from the RoboHelp site will be searchable in SharePoint. I have tried multiple times but it seems like the site is impossible to crawl. Would you have any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks in advance for all the help!

Hi there
I'm not sure if it will help, but you might consider building a Site Map.

Thanks for your quick response Rick!
Can you explain why you think the site map would help?

Hi again Andy
Well, I understand having a Site Map assists with sites like Google indexing your content. So I logically assumed one may assist with Sharepoint.
It was only a suggestion. Please feel free to ignore it if you like. I really have no clue if it will help or not. You may need to locate a forum dedicated to SharePoint users and ask about how to get sites indexed there.
There is nothing mysterious about RoboHelp WebHelp output. It is simply a collection of HTML files and folders and some JavaScript mixed in. I believe Google is able to trawl through WebHelp and index pages many levels deep into a folder hierarchy. So I might expect Sharepoint to be able to do the same. Then again, it's a different beast.
Cheers... Rick
