Okay, I'm using the Trial Version to evaluate TCS 2. One of the features that we would use here in my company is the ability to create DHTML drop-down text. In TCS 1, we have to do this on the RoboHelp side, and the ability to do this in FM is a key selling point for us.
However, I can't get it to work in the compiled webhelp.
I modified the paragraph properties of the DropDownCaption and DropDownBody tags in FM to match our own style, then followed the instructions in the help. Sure, in RH you can the see two components in the topic editor, but when I compile, it doesn't work.I didn't do anything to the styles on the RH side by the way.
Does anybody know how to get this to work properly in compiled webhelp?
Thanks.
MC

I am not a FM user so this is theory.
As you probably know, a dropdown created in RH only shows the hotspot until you double click it. If your FM import is looking like that, then I am a bit lost. But if you see both, then it points to the source or the import process. Perhaps that will help you identify the problem.
Sorry I cannot be more specific.
BTW. Microsoft HTML Help (CHMs) are compiled, WebHelp is generated.

During my tests I did tried the same.
I had the effect that sometimes it worked and sometimes not.
Did you solve the problem now, and if, what is the solution.

I solved it and it works.
The problem is, when I do it in the described way, than the whole Paragraph is set to DropDownCaption.
I want only a word marked in this style and not the whole paragrph, is this possible?

Hi Michael, sorry for the 11-year gap in replying (hah!) but I ran across this as I was searching for a solution to an Fm 2020 issue...
For the sake of others that find this thread, the Drop Down options are for full paragraphgs, and the Expanding Text options are for text ranges within a paragraph.
Hope this helps someone out there!
