I'm trying to put an HTML link into an HLP (WinHelp4) file but not having much success. Here is what I do to attempt this feat:
1. Select the text to be the link
2. CTRL-J to insert the link
3. Type in the URL
4. Select either 'Display in Browser' or 'Display in Help' (both result in an error)
5. Click OK
When attempting to click on the link in the WinHelp 4 file I get errors such as:
"Windows Help: An error exists in this HELP file. Contact your application vendor for an updated help file. (1024)"
AND
"There was a problem running the macro. (1037)"
Can someone please direct me how to successfuly create an HTML link within the WINHELP4 file?
Thank you for your consideration.

Hi there
I stopped creating WinHelp before the last century ended, so my memory is pretty hazy. But I seem to recall that you needed a special DLL in order to link that way.
You might also investigate using the Execute File macro.
