Disabled Flash with AIR BBH in IE 8 = X

Explorer ,
Nov 09, 2011 Nov 09, 2011

If I have Flash installed but disabled and open an AIR browser-based help in IE8, I get the missing-image X, instead of the usual alternative content that other browsers display.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

What happens if you try it in IE's Compatibility Mode? You may just have to enable Flash to get it to work.

Thanks for the reply, Jeff.

If I enable it, everything works fine, but that is not the issue.  The issue is that when a user has Flash disabled, I want them to see the "hey you need Flash" message instead of a red X.

I've made a temporary fix, but it's a PITA and the red X is still visible.
