Duplicated Letter in Heading

Guest

Some of my topic headings strangely repeat the first letter.

For example, I have a topic called "Initialisation Files" - it appears correctly in Robohelp but when I compile it dislays as "IInitialisation Files" with 2 I's!!! Any ideas?

Hi ramalannie and welcome to our community

I'd examine the source code. Just select the line of text, then change the view to TrueCode.

My gut is telling me that perhaps the original Heading was configured to display based on the Topic Title. Thus, you may have been using a field. You may have later changed that by attempting to select some text and type what you wanted there.

TrueCode should reveal what is going on.

Cheers... Rick

Here is an example of a topic called aptsrv.ini that appears as aaptsrv.ini. Yes, it is using the Title field.

<span style="font-size: 12pt;
font-weight: bold;
color: #ffffff;
background-color: #e10000;"><span lang=EN-ZA><!--kadov_tag{{<variable
name=title
x-format=default
x-value=aptsrv.ini>}}-->aptsrv.ini<!--kadov_tag{{</variable>}}--></span></span>

Hi ramalannie and welcome to the RH community. When you say it appears correctly in RH do you mean it looks OK in the topic preview? Are these old or new topics? Has this just started occuring?

Yes, looks fine in the Preview but not in the compiled help. Thanks.
