Dynamic Content Filter- unrelevant options desapearing

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I am using:

- Robohelp 2020 (2020.7.46)

- Frameless preset for my output of the project

- I set 5 groups for my Dynamic Content Filter.

Is it possible to set Robohelp in such a way that, when I chose option 1 from my 1st group of options, then unrelevant options from the following groups (2, 3, 4, 5) will desapear?

Could you advise if it is possible and how, please?

Thank you very much for your prompt responce.

Regards,

Luke

Do you mean if you select an option in group 1, then group 2-5 would be removed from the filter list? I don't believe there's any way to do that. Also, how would you get the options back once they were removed?

Perhaps a bit more detail about what you're trying to achieve and why would help us come up with some alternatives?

Let me explain 😊

I am thinking about it like about product configurator. From the following example, I am hoping that everything will become much clearer.

I have 5 groups and their options:

  • Group 1 (1a and 1b options)
  • Group 2 (2a and 2b options)
  • Group 3 (3a and 3b options)
  • Group 4 (4a and 4b options)
  • Group 5 (5a, 5b, 5c, and 5d options).

Example 1. From Group 1, I select 1a and in this scenario, I can only select 2a from Group 2. In this example any option from Group 3, 4, and 5 is possible.

1a

1b

2a

2b and 1a
(not possible)

3a

3b

4a

4b

5a

5b

5c

5d

Example 2. From Group 1, I select 1b and from Group 2 I select 2b and in this scenario, I can only select 4b.

1a

1b

2a

2b

3a

3b

4a and 2b and 1b
(not possible)

4b

5a

5b

5c

5d

What I am thinking of is:

In example 1, when I select option 1a, can RoboHelp hide option 2b so option 2a can only be selected?

In example 2, when I select option 1b and then after I select 2b, can RoboHelp hide option 4a so option 4b can only be selected?

Thank you

Wow, complex! As far as I'm aware, the most you can do is decide that only one option in each group can be selected (radio buttons) or multiple options each group can be selected (checkboxes).
