Is it possible to edit the database that RH10 uses to generate the CPD file? I've got one weird entry in the topics list in the Project Manager pod. I've deleted the CPD file and let RH10 rebuild it but the entry is still there. My team leader would like me to get rid of the entry before we send the project to translation. Thanks.
Dang, I saw that same problem occur with a project I was trying to fix but eventually I had to start over on a fresh copy of the broken project and did not create the problem again.
If you are using an agency that translates and uses RoboHelp, the last thing I would have done is delete the snippet. They would have translated that once instead of everywhere it is used thus keeping costs down. That is an aside though.

The CPD is the database and it gets rebuilt by other files in the project. What is the "weird entry" as that is what needs to be tackled. A screenshot might help.

The problem is the List_Numerical entry at the end of the Topics list. Originally, I created a snippets file containing HTML code to create an ordered list for step-by-step instructions. After I was done with this project, my team leader asked me to remove the snippet before we sent the topic files for translation. I don't know if anything went wrong when I was deleting the snippet but this entry in Topics keeps coming back.

Do you have a backup of the project so that you can recreate the Snippet in the hope that the project is good with that in and you can then delete again to check you used the right option?

Thank you, Peter. I agree that I should not have deleted the original snippet. I will show this thread to my team leader.
This is a situation that many users of RH may not be aware of ... what you see in the Project Manager pod is not the same as what you see in a file manager such as Windows Explorer ... RH generates the lists that are displayed so when you delete something like a snippet, whatever RH is writing as a reference to the snippet must be erased in multiple places and those processes seem to go wrong sometimes.
Pls correct me if my description of what's going on "under the covers" is faulty.

When you delete a snippet you are given some options. The possibility here is that you chose the wrong option. I'm thinking that copying the snippet back in or creating one with exactly the same name will give you the option of deleting it again and carefully looking at the options. Just a guess and I may be wrong.
