Export Topic List

New Here ,
Jul 09, 2007 Jul 09, 2007
Is there an easy way to export the list of topics? I tried to select all and copy/paste but with no success. I just want a simple list in Excel - and I want the list with the actual file name (xxx.htm), not the text that I get when I generate a TOC.

Thanks.

Well it may be a little messy but you could run the Topic Properties report, save the output as a text file and import that into Excel. As I said it may require some tidying up but it is possibel with a little thought.

Hello Twimom,

I have a simple utility that allows me to print the details from a folder, you can specify the file type from the folder, then choose from the file name up to the full path. It then writes to a text file.

If it would be of any use, drop your email address into a private message and I will send it to you.

Regards,

Brian
