Hi
I am using FM11 and RH10 as part of TCS4.
I have inserted an image in FrameMaker which has the file path Interactivities\First Interactivity\tab1.swf (shown in the screenshot).

When I import to RoboHelp the path is lost.
This is generally not an issue as the file gets imported and published as well.
But in my case, I have three different SWFs named, tab1.swf, tab2,swf, and tab3.swf in three folders First Interactivity, Second Interactivity, and Third Interactivity respectively. The content of all three SWF files are being called from an XML file, which has the same name of tabs.xml. Now, when we publish the RoboHelp file, since all the three SWFs get copied/published to the single folder, that throws all my calls to the XML out of gear.
So, is there a way I can retain the file path when the file is imported?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Not exactly sure what you’re trying to do – what about setting up folders in the RH project to match your source folder names, then place the swf’s in them and edit the RH topic to point to the new location?

Jeff, I don't want to edit the RH topic as it will disturb my linked FM files. Even when I do that, I have noticed that the SWF looks for the XML file in the main folder and not in the sub folder I created.

You said you were importing, not linking. I still don’t get what xml file is being called here – when I stick a Captivate video into RH, it can anywhere I want to be located with the project files.

Sorry, bad choice of words there from my side.
I have a Tab interactivity in SWF fomat. The framework of this is created in Flash in which we are calling the content from XML file. Here is the screenshot of the SWF when the XML file is missing:

Now, when I place the XML file in the required folder, it looks like this:

In your case, you place the Captivate file which is not dependent on other files. That is why you get it right. It is something like inserting an image.

I think that the problem is that when you stuff something in an anchored frame in FM and then bring it over to RH, RH has no way of knowing where that thing was originally located because FM doesn’t reveal that to RH, so everything ends up coming over “flat” in the root folder. So I think you might have to edit your swf’s to expect content in the root folder instead of the structure you’re currently using.
