FM 12 does not list Multiscreen HTML5 as Publishing Option?

Community Beginner ,

Hi all,

We have recently purchased ATCS5 and to my shock, i dont find the Multiscreen HTML5 option listed in FM12 > Publish.

Is there any way where i can get this to list in FM12 along with the rest, i.e responsive html5, epub etc.

In ATCS4, we had created a central multiscreen template, which the entire people in my team used and we could easily generate the help from Framemaker 11.

There are numerous single ditamaps in our product, and linking them each to robohelp is not worth it.

Can anyone help me, or let me know if there is a workaround to get FM12 list Multiscreen as an option under Publishing.

Thanks

Sharada

Hi there

Sorry, I don't know how to help because I'm not a Framemaker user.

But I responded. (You did say "anyone")

Cheers... Rick

Wouldn’t you want the newer Responsive HTML5 coding anyway? The multi-screen one was associated with FM11/RH10 IIRC…

Hi Jeff,

Personally i dont mind the responsive HTML5, but we had put lot of efforts, customized the Multiscreen template, got it approved, placed the template centrally so that anyone in the team with ATCS4 could generate the help from FM11 without the need to create individual project.

We have come out of the book paradigm and generate module specific help depending on the application's security. Since there are many modules, we thought having that many RH projects does not make sense. So we placed the RH template centrally, which FM11 could pick up.

But now all that has to be redone with the responsive html5, along with getting the approval and regenerating help for all modules

Regards

Sharada

FM12 can import the RH settings isf file(s), which might minimize some of the drudgery in a conversion to responsive HTML5.

The publishing options in FM12 are fixed. To get the multi-screen you would have to go through RoboHelp as before.
