FrameMaker template not applied to all files

Hi,

I've mapped a FrameMaker template to apply to a FrameMaker book on import into a RoboHelp project. I use the template to apply autonumbering to paragraph formats and to set the conditional text settings. The template is successfully applied to all of the FrameMaker files except for one. And until my latest import, it was applied successfully to all files.

I've examined the RHFrameDocs.apj file, and I can't see any problems with it. I've tried reimporting the entire book and the problem file a number of times, but I continue to have the same problem.

Has anyone else had similar problems? Is there a work around?

I'm using Technical Communications Suite 2 with the latest patches.

Thanks,

- Maura Gudaitis

I'd try two things... first, clean up anything odd in the .fm file by saving to MIF, opening that file, and saving as .fm.

Then applying the template again.

If that doesn't work, try applying the template file just to the problem chapter outside the book environment...

I figured out the problem, and it's all my fault.

The file had a text inset, which was imported using the source's formatting. So when I applied the template to the file, it wasn't reformatted to use the template's formatting.

I reimported the text inset using the formatting in the target file, and everything works fine now

The problem had nothing to do with RoboHelp.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
