Hi All,
I have a question regarding the Garbage and Corrupt texts are show in the CHM output of Chinese (simplified and traditional).
I'm use RoboHelp 2020 (2.22) for buid the CHM and do to setting the Control Panel’s Region and Change the System local... to computer’s native language before the build.
Then after finished and get the CHM output and it's look perfect once we open on the computer’s native language [Chinese (simplified and traditional) in this case]. But it is show the Garbage when we open this CHM file on the other computers native language (English and other local), see the image1.
Could you please advice that how to implement the CHM output to open on the other computers native language (English) without the Garbage in the content page?
** NOTE: Before upgrade to RoboHelp 2022 I use RoboHelp 2019 classic and not found this problem with in 2019 version, as see in the Image2.

You are saying that there they do work but not on computers with other OS languages. My understanding is that it has always been the case that such CHMs will only work on computers with Chinese as the operating system language. Item 9 at Snippets (grainge.org) seems to only say the language has to be set on the computer creating the CHM so I could be wrong on that. I don't work with other languages.
The Snippet also has two links at the end. [Broken link reported earlier has been fixed].
Beyond that I can only suggest trying Adobe Support. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

Hi, Did you ever get resolution for your issue?

The only thing I can think of is that the non-original language O/S machine doesn't have the font that the CHM is in. Or maybe CHMs embedded their language font into it when compiled (which might explain why you have to create it on a machine running in that language). Frankly, CHMs are such ancient technology now, it's a wonder they even launch at all.

You could look at the output source in both versions. Perhaps the <meta> tags in the page head might shed some light. (Right-click on the topic text in the chm file, then select View Source from the menu.)
I'm not hopeful, but perhaps we can see something that helps.

Hi Amebr,
By refer from snapshot attached, the header of output source in both versions is quite difference, but it still cannot know and how to implement the new version 2022 to match with the old version 2019 by use the Robohelp 2022?
For now I'm waiting the feedback from the Adobe support team.

Yeah, the code doesn't really help - it was definitely a long shot. Hopefully Adobe support can help.
