Getting a labeled version of a project

New Here ,
Sep 23, 2008 Sep 23, 2008
We are using Visual SourceSafe with RH v7 for a procedure manual. I don't see how to bring an entire labeled group of project files into a new project. [RIght now we are importing them manually which is a slow process.]

The new project will be used as a time-dated history of the manual.

Sorry this is such a basic question but I can't find the answer in VSS or in RH.

Hi smbaker01 and welcome to the RH community.

The first thing you need to appreciate is that VSS knows nothing about RH and vice versa. You need to run both applications separately as they do not talk to each other.

It sounds like you have a set of project files in VSS that you want to use to create a new RH project. If so, just do a "Get Latest Files" from VSS to a new windows directory. Open up this project in RH and rename it as required. Viola!
