I'm using RH9 in TCS3 on Windows XP.
I have a book that contains all of my glossary entries. I linked it to my RH project. I right-clicked the book in the Project Manager pod and selected Properties so that I could create a glossary. But my glossary pod is empty. I understand that you have to have topics that have a .glo extension, but shouldn't I be able to drag my topics into the glossary pod?
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
I'm not sure of the TCS workflow with Frame, but generally the Glossary Pod is just a big window allowing you to manipulate a file with a .GLO extension. It's a large text file with XML entries. One for the Glossary Term and the other for the Glossary Text. So there aren't "Topics" per se.

Jeff,
Thanks for sending me this thread. Looks like we need to do some revamping of how we do glossary terms so that they can be used in RH. (I still think you should be able to drag them from the topics list as a last resort.)

Hi there
So how would you propose it work? If you dragged from the topics list, you are dragging a complete topic. How would the Glossary Designer pod know what you wanted to be a term and what you wanted to be the definition?
You also have an ability to suggest it to the team via the Wish Form. (Link is in my sig)

Hi, Rick,
You're currently able to drag a book to a TOC. I envisioned something like that. However, I hadn't thought it through completely to how RH would be able to distinguish the term from the def. We'll have to rework our DITA to start using the glossdef terms.
Thanks for shooting holes in my great idea ;-\
