Hello,
again a bug or my fault? RoboHelp 2020, v8, Frameless, Studio skin
When customizing graphics e.g. logo or the graphic in the top area via the skin editor, the graphics are visible in the editor but do not show up in the published output. This happens also with the close button (X) in the mobile view when opening the hamburger menu (on the the top right).
After havng a closer look at the css files I figured out, that the layoutDiff.css shows corrupted urls as soon as I change something in the skin editor and save it. See following example:
As soon as I repair the path in the css manually and save it, everythings works well.
It seems that also other elements in the css are corrupted and for examples showing multiple semicolons or duplicated parameters:
Has anyone experienced the same issues? Do you know the reason for that?
In earlier RH version, e.g. RH2017 we learned, that editing a skin via the network and not locally on the PC will corrupt the Master.xml heavily, thus it could not be used any longer (several lines at the end of the file were deleted completed).
Thanks for you help
Steffen

I've seen the repeated semi-colons in someone else's css posted on the forums. I'm not using RH2020 in real life but I can check in my test projects over the weekend for any similar issues. These are all on a local HDD so might help indicate if it's a network problem.

Like @Amebr I remember a post where the user was seeing repeated semi-colons. I think only three in her case. @Amebr can you remember if that was from writing something the way she had seen it elsewhere? What I do recall is it had no impact.
@Steffen Riek You mention editing the skin on a network when using 2017. Is that the case here? While Adobe do say you can use the New UI versions on a network, they do qualify that with "depending on the speed of the network. If you are working on a network, try copying the project locally and see what happens. Otherwise it's Support as I havent' seen this before. See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

The multiple semi-colons "shouldn't" affect anything but also shouldn't occur. The other person didn't add them, just left them as they found them in the stylesheet and then deleted them after I said it should be fine to remove.
