How to add more levels to toc?

Hi,

I'd like to know how I can add more nested books in my table of contents.

Basically I have:

Book

---> topic

---> Book

-------------->Topic

---------------> Topic

---------------->I'd like to add another book here but I can't.

So I have 2 levels of books available but I'd like a third. Is that possible?

Yes - what version of RH are you using?

What happens when you try to add a third level in the same way as you add a second?

From what I remember (I haven' got my RH9 open now), with the ToC pod open, you can click an icon on its tool bar to add a "book" or right-click to add one. Positioning can be done by dragging them around.

Well the right arrow is disabled when I try to do that.

There is absolutely no reason why you shouldn't be able to do this so there must be something causing this. Is it limited to one project, one TOC, one topic, one position in the TOC, etc. Perhaps you could post an image of the TOC indicating where you're trying to insert the 3rd level.

Just had a thought. This may be a really silly question but is there a third level book in your TOC into which you can place the topic? If not, the right arrow will be disabled.

I think that's just to promote topics, not create new ones.
