Hyperlinks in printed documentation

New Here ,
Aug 29, 2012 Aug 29, 2012

I am using Robohelp 9 with TFS source control.

When I generate Printed Documentation only the hyperlinks to external content work. These include baggage files, external file locations and email addresses. None of the hyperlinks to internal locations (eg htm pages or bookmarks within the project) work.

The hyperlinks were all created using the same method. The text (where the hyperlink is required) is highlighted and the applicable htm page, bookmark location or baggage file is dragged across from the project list onto the highlighted text.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks

Is the Retain Hyperlinks option ticked in the print dialog?

Hi Peter

Yes it is ticked. I have noticed that the only links to htm pages that work are those that point to a location within the same htm page. Any links to other htm pages within the same project do not work.

The only time the links will not work is if the target topics are not in the printed document. It doesn't matter that they are in your project, they have to be in the printed document. Check that they are.

Yes they are. All the topics are in the printed documentation. None of the links to other topics work.

Try one of the sample projects. Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left.

Can you share the project (with me, not publicly)?
