I am using RH 10.0.1.292. I am able to add most of the widgets to screen layouts for a phone screen, but there are a few that are grayed out. When using the Screen Layout Editor in Design mode, the widgets that are not available from the toolbar are:
- Search Results Area and Search Results Area (Small Screens)
- Topic
- All the Browse Sequence widgets
What step am I missing to have these enabled?
You can only use either of the search results widgets once per layout. You have probably already used either of these widges on a page. The page where you add this widget automatically becomes the page where all search results are shown.
You can only use the topic widget once per layout. The same goes as with the search results widgets. Of course, a topic page can not host search results and vice versa.
The BRS buttons should be available on all pages, except the one with the search results wiget

The BRS buttons should be available on all pages, except the one with the search results wiget (but I'm not 100% sure about this limitation). Functionally speaking, you must only use the BRS widgets on the page with the topic widget.

Willam, you are awesome!
I could not add the Topic widget because I already had a Topic page with that widget on it. That page also had the browse sequence widget, so that's why they were not available. The same is true with the search results widget -- I had a Search page that already used the widget.
So it looks like you can add some widgets to multiple pages. Other widgets, you can only use once per layout. That's exactly what I was missing! ![]()
