Import multiple word files TOC links issue

Hi,

We have a set of applications for our documentation, each application has its own Microsoft Word file.

When import the first file we used "Split on Heading1" option to split the file, then we created a TOC on RoboHelp and linked it to the proper files.

When we imported the second file we found it has some Heading with same text as imported from the first file so it overwrites the first one, and the TOC links we created is pointing to the second file instead.

As a workaround we tried to import all the word files at once, RoboHelp give each one a unique name (Heading1.html, Heading11.html, ...) and we were able to link them to TOC, but we found that the internal links in the same word file is no longer working, i think that RoboHelp changes the html file names to be unique but it does not update the internal links to point to these files.

What we should do in case we have the same Heading in multiple files? Please Help?

I have moved this post from RoboHelp for Word as that is a program that no longer ships. You cannot be using that because you would be using Word rather than importing documents created outside of RoboHelp. Also you haven't said which version of RoboHelp you are using. Please start any thread with that as it can affect the answer.

I am guessing that it is into the same project. If so, have you tried importing into different folders. Before you start the import process, create a folder and put focus on it. The imported topic(s) should then be in that folder.
