Imported files lose links and index

Hi all - we have two of us working on our company's help project in RH9 for HTML help.  After much consideration, we felt it was best to have my colleague work on topics in her own independent copy of the help file, and then I (as the sort of "project administrator") import her new topics into MY copy, which I maintain as the "master" project.  We chose this approach over source control for a variety of reasons.  It works great, EXCEPT when I import her topics, two problems always occur: links that she has added don't work in my project (although hers is an exact copy of mine); and index keywords she adds under Topic Properties are gone as well.  Any ideas?

Try a different approach but do it with backups until proven.

Have both projects closed. Copy the edited files from your colleague's project into yours using Windows Explorer. Trash the CPD in your project and then open it.
