In WebHelp, can view a topic which is not present in the TOC

Hi,

I am working on RH8. I am using Multiple TOC's and have created a TOC with only the first 4 chapters. After generating the WebHelp using that TOC, even if I search for a topic which was not there in the TOC, I can view the its help.

Ideally, if the topic is not added in the TOC, it shouldn't be displayed even if a user searches for it.

Please help me out with this.

You can use Exclude from Search in Topic Properties, introduced in RH8. That way the topic is in the build but not searchable.

If you don't want certain topics in, use CBTs to exclude them.

If you want the TOC to control what goes in the build, submit a feature request but do ask for it as an option, not a new method.

The more people who report a bug or request a feature, the more likely it is to be actioned. Please follow this link.
