Index for linked FM files

In Tech Comm Suite 2, as far as I can tell, I can only create an index in RoboHelp (using index markers in the FM files), by importing the book file, rather than by linking it.

Is that right?

Thanks

Jim

Hi Jim,

You can create an index in RH by linking the FM book. After the book is linked, in RH, right-click the book file name and click Properties. In the FrameMaker Document Settings dlg, you can select the Convert Index check box to use the FM index. I think the same option appears when you first link the book, but I haven't checked that. I'm also not sure yet (because I am just beginning with this myself and I haven't tested it yet) whether RH uses the index markers or the generated index file

Thanks Glynnis ... that wasn't hard. The RH Help only refers to importing ...

Cheers

Jim
