Is there a way to somehow stick the adobe air help into an existing adobe air application? Ideally, we would like to bundle the two apps together so that when they click help it opens the robohelp adobe air help app. Does anyone know of any way to do this without using any other third party source like merapi? Could we export the help into a swc or something like that?
Thanks

Are you saying that you have an AIR application that has AIR help and you want to install both from one installer? As far as I know, you would need Installshield or similar.
Googling SWC gave me the Saturday Walkers Club plus one or two best not mentioned here. I found Software Control, is that it? We are authors here, not developers so if that is the same as Installshield, you have an answer. If not, best avoid acronyms.

Allow me to clarify. We have some adobe air apps that we sell. We like the Adobe Air Help program that RoboHelp generates it just doesn't make much sense to distribute two adobe air apps. One being the program and the second being help. In order to get to help our customers would have to open a completely different program. All I wanted to know was if the Adobe Air Help program could be stuck inside a Adobe Air app so that when the customer pushes a help button it opens the Adobe Air Help program.
A swc is the standard way to do this. It is essentially an actionscript 3 library that you can insert into flex or adobe air programs to add additional functionality.
You can read about what an swc is at the following link.

Hi there
You might benefit by also posting your question in the Adobe AIR forum. Perhaps someone that monitors that venue will have done it before and can help. If you do this and you get an answer there that helps, please return to this thread and tell us about it or create a link from this thread to that so that others may benefit.

I agree with Rick's suggestion. From what I was told by a RoboHelp engineer, I think they will confirm that you need something like Installshield. I look forward to learning what you find.
