Can anyone tell me if there is any Terminology Management Software on the market that integrates with RoboHelp. I am considering products like Acrolinx and TermWeb, but would be interested to hear of any applications that would integrate successfully with RoboHelp. Thanks for your comments.

I have never seen anyone ask about these programs in respect of RoboHelp so you might not get much back here. Maybe Linked In will get some general feedback. Just be aware there are some Flare fan boys there who will tell you Flare is the answer to everything including world peace!

See www.grainge.org for free RoboHelp and Authoring information.

I've been looking for something like this as well (in addition to world peace ). I'd like the ability to keep and resuse a database of terms and phrases to make our huge documentation set more consistent and less expensive during our bi-annual localization phase. If anyone uses something like this with RoboHelp, I'd like to hear about it. Our localization dept. uses Across Systems to handle the TM (translation memory) and manage the localization of content across a team of translators. They have something called TermBase we're planning on installing and trying out, but I don't think it interfaces directly with the authoring tool.

But Acrolinx looks awesome. The Acroslinx website does say "It works seamlessly with virtually every authoring tool", so I imagine contacting someone there would be able to help you get it setup.

Regarding Flare, in addition to RoboHelp, I do own a copy of Flare from when I was evaluating it about 2 or 3 years ago. It didn't contain enough differences to sway me to switch ships, but it does have some nice features in MadCap Analyzer that help you to analyze and solve frequently-used and similarly-matched segments etc. I've already used that specific tool from Flare to evaluate some of our writing in RoboHelp projects to improve consistency. Of course, I do have to import the RH project into Flare, evaluate it and then manually locate and make the changes in RH. That's a bit of a pain. It'd be nice if RH offered something similar.
