Where we are hosting, the assets folder is clashing with other hosted sites with the same folder. I see it is possible to rename the assets folder but when adding a new image, an assets folder is recreated and all new assets are added to this folder instead of the renamed one. Is it possible to change the default location of all assets after renaming?

I will check with Adobe but I don't think it is possible. However, you can move everything in it to another folder. It adds an overhead but I rather doubt it will change as it has been like that since the 2019 New UI release and this is the first time I have seen this issue reported.

I don't understand why it is clashing as links should only go to the assets folder within the project.

Thanks for answering Peter. Its a clash from our main app and not from Robohelp itself. Putting the assets folder in a Help subfolder could also solve the problem but this doesn't resolve the default assets folder being recreated for new assets.

I will let you know about renaming it when I hear back. However, if it can't then what I was getting at is that I doubt the default behaviour will be changed. Think of it from a commercial point of view. A lot of recoding for an issue that has affected one user in four years. I don't mean that harshly, just stating the realities of life.

When we have a reply, by all means submit a feature request to change the behaviour if necessary, it might not be as difficult as I fear.

Rather than check with Adobe, I did a simple test. You can rename the folder but any new assets that you paste in will recreate Assets so that you would have to move them. You can get around that with a different workflow. What you can do is simply add the assets to the new folder in Explorer and then drag them to the topics. Put them where you want them first.

By all means submit a feature request but that will not help in the short term even if it is taken up.
