Hi Guys
A bunch of new menu options appeared at the dusty configuration / admin end of the menu system of the product for which I am producing online help, recently.
So I cursed the gods of Agile, fired up the Espresso machine and quickly created a hundred or so new help topics into which I could add the appropriate field / description information.
Subsequently I realised a lot of these "new" menu options were actually pre-existing options which have been dragged and dropped from other areas of the system - and for which I had already written help topics. So I now have files with the same name scattered around the various folders, which I have to find.
Obviously I have to identify those files that have been duplicated before moving the originals to the new location and deleting the newly created, empty topic files.
This task would be a lot easier if there was a way of finding which files have duplicate names and where the originals are located on the system.
Is there a report i can run to find topic files with the same file name? For example two files called "Create client" or "System parameters". Or is there some other whizzy way of doing this..
While I'm here, is there a way of locating "Unused" files - as many superseded graphics files are floating around the system too. (Most of those have been renamed with the prefix "OLD" if thats any help)
Once again thanks in advance for your time and wisdom, comrades..

In Classic the Topic List can be sorted by file name. In 2019 the Topic List Report can be sorted by file name.
What I am saying is if you are using any version other than the new 2019 version, go to your Topic List and sort by file name. In 2019 new version there is no Topic List but the Topic List Report can be used for your problem.
If still unclear, what version are you using?

Thanks. So can I switch to "Classic" view from 2017 view, do this and revert to 2017 view, without mangling my files?

2017 🙂 As I recall the earlier version used to be referred to as "Classic"
Apologies I should have read your reply properly

Classic is strictly the 2019 version without the new UI but it's a useful way to cover anything other than 2019 new UI.

Thanks for clearing that up 🙂
