Link to a topic in another project

Hi.

I´m new in RoboHelp.

I don´t know how to make a link from one of my projects to a topic in another (in RoboHelp 8).

I think in RoboHelp 7 it was "hyperlink" - "hyperlink to remote topic", but in RoboHelp 8 the "remote topic"-function isn´t there.

(Sorry for my bad english)

Janine

Hi Janine and welcome to the RH community.

How you link to a topic in another RH project depends on what type of output you are producing (e.g. CHM, WebHelp, etc.). The Remote Topic method you mention is only used when you are linking to a CHM file output from another project. What is more, the option is only available if you have the Microsoft HTML Help single source layout set as the default output. The method of linking in RH8 is exactly the same as it was in RH7.

If you are still producing CHMs, check in your single source layout pod which is the default output. If Microsoft HTML Help isn't the default, right click on it and click "Set as Default Output".

By the way your english is very good except that "project" is spelt with a "c" 😉
