MAPID number range?

For context-sensitive help popups it is possible to assign a map-id to a topic and invoke it at runtime through an alias mechanism.

What is the allowed range for thes map ids? I would say a number >=0 but what's the upper limit?

According to the dialog below, the upper limit here is 4,294,967,295.
