merging of TOC for two projects

New Here ,
Jan 30, 2008 Jan 30, 2008
Hi all,
I have some doubts in merging of two CHMs , I have created two CHMs but now i need to merge them into each other and place them into one common directory so that both of them will show the entire content on opening any one of them, for first CHM it went well as it showed the merged CHM in the TOC as well as the topics. but when i try to do so in the other CHM it showed me repeated topics for various times for both table of contents as if they were shown in some loop.

Is it happening because i am calling a CHM which already contains the caller CHM or is there some other reason:

Also please tell me any work around, if possible.

Thanks,
Eric Hass

Hi Eric. Try doing things this way. Create a new project with just a single topic that you can use as an "introduction" page. Add an index keyword to this topic. Open up each of the two CHMs you have previously created and remove the merged references to the other in the TOC. Compile both and merge them into the "empty" project. Compile that project and you have a merged CHM.
