A question came up today regarding Microsoft Visio files, does Robohelp support these types of files and functionality?

Thanks

Wendy

Hi there

You should be able to right-click your RoboHelp project manager and import HTML files into the project.

Baggage files are simply files that you tell RoboHelp to include. Just like you would toss items into the trunk of your car so you are certain to bring them along.

Hi,

Could you be more precise? What do you mean by 'support'? You can add a visio file as a baggage file so users can download the file, but I doubt that is what you mean. Do you want to embed Visio drawings in a page?

Greet,

Willam

My employer utilizes Visio as a process tool for our guidelines and procedures.  After the Visio documents are created, the files are converted to HTML and stored on our server.   I would like to upload the HTML files in Robohelp, is this possible?   In addition, what is a baggage file?

Thanks

In case it helps we use a different method. In Visio we create a JPG and import that into a topic. We also keep the Visio file in a folder within the project using the ! prefix and suffix as in the !SSL! folder. That way it doesn't appear in Project Manager but we know where the Visio file is when we need to edit it and create a new image.
