Hi. I'm a long time reader, first time poster.
I'm building a help system using the merged project functionality with WebHelpPro output on Robohelp Server 8 (authoring with Robohelp 8.0.2). I have indexed each of my projects and I have published them all to the server. When I view the published help system and click the Index button on the toolbar, there are no index entries at all. I do have the Automatically Merge Projects of Same Type checkbox checked on the Admin side of the server. Is there something else I need to do?

Is there at least one keyword in your master project index?

Hi Colum,
Yes, there are three keywords in my master project.

What happens in thegenerated output. Is this the same as on the server?

When I view the generated master project, I see the keywords for the master project.
Edit: I should mention that at some point in the creation of this help system, Marketing came up with a new name for it, and I did have to rename the project and various elements in it. Could this be causing a problem (especially if most of the changes were made to the master and not the child projects)?

Hi - a rename can cause the problem you describe. Check the error log in the Admin tool. Is there an entry complaining of a missing index file, e.g. <project_name.hhk>?
You may have inadvertently created a duplicate project on the server, one with the old project name and one with the new. Ask your administrator to take a look and, if it's the case, delete both project folders from the server. Don't trust the Admin tool to clean it up or to know there's an issue. Afterward, in RoboHelp, in the Single Source Layout pod for the renamed project, delete/recreate the WebHelp Pro layout. Then republish.
