Multi-authoring

Hi,
I'm having trouble with a multi-authored help file. When I go to open a file (*.xpj file) that has previously been edited by another author, I get the error: "Open project was cancelled or the application was unable to load database for "C:\[file name]".
Has anyone else had this problem and can you tell me what the solution is?

1. The RH application must have been installed on your local machine with you logged in and with full admin rights.

2. You must have the project (.xpj etc.) on your local machine.

If either of those is an issue (which appears to be the case), bad things will continually happen.
