Hello,
I have a big document in FM9 that I imported to RH8. We started new with FM9/RH8 up to now we worked with FM7 and Webworks. In the generated CHM-output was it possible to insert navigation buttons to go forward and backward in the topic. I assume, that such buttons should be placed on a master page. But I can’t find corresponding buttons. Is there a way to insert such buttons?
Please see the screenshots below from the old chm-file:

I would be happy if someone could help me!

Hi there
Likely the buttons you are citing were placed there by whatever software was in use at the time. Those aren't anything I've ever seen produced by RoboHelp. So if you desire to have them, you will need to fabricate a way to coax them into topics. I'm doubtful you could accomplish it using a Header.
Cheers... Rick

Thank you for your help.
If that is not possible the user has to navigate with the TOC on the left side. It's also possible but not so intuitional.
It is a little bit like the breadcrumps links, but they work only backwards..
Eg the help system of MATLAB is build in the same way, here e link to the online help:

At the bottom of the page is always a link to the next information piece.

Those buttons look a bit like the way Doc to Help works.
You want the user to browse through topics in a specific order? Look up Browse Sequences. Or you could use buttons like those shown and manually create links.

Thank you for your answer!
Yes, I want to browse through the TOC. The aim is to have small pieces of information on one page and with the "next/forward" button appears the next bit of info. So the reader is not beat by the mass of information.

"Browse Sequence" was a good key word. There is also a help topic to
that. But I recognized now, that there are different Window-Types in the project set-up. With one window for htlm (chm) and the option "browse sequence" enabled it works! It is not the same like the old help in the picture above but a workaround.
