I have noticed on two separate occasions that after we updated our WebHelp output (RH8) to our Web server, I needed to clear my browser's cache in order to view the latest content. I am concerned that this could be a problem for our users (seeing backlevel content because they have not cleared their cache). This is particularly a problem when the TOC changes, as it renders some topics hard to get to.
We are copying our project/!SSL!/WebHelp directory to our Web server. Is is possible that there is another generated file that needs to be copied (or a file in this folder that must be touched) in order to prompt browsers to realize the content has been updated?
TIA,
Shane

Clearing the cache is a setting within the browsers, not RoboHelp. I just did a Google on "force cache clear" and it got many results. However, from the few I looked at, they seemed to be how the end user does it on the fly rather than via a setting. Sorry I haven't got a good connection here so could not check more.

Meta tags might work, although I'm unsure if they have to be in every page or just the "index" page.
Possibly the http-equiv="Expires" one. Or maybe no-cache.

Otherwise it sounds like something that could be set on the webserver - you'd have to talk to your server guys about that, though.
