No Version Control Command Under File Menu

Program Version:  Adobe RoboHelp 8.0.2 / RoboSource Control 3.1

  Hello!

I'm very experienced with authoring in RoboHelp, but I'm trying to set up version control for the first time and the documentation (the PDF version of the Using Adobe RoboHelp 8 manual, page 29, item 2) says "Choose File > Version Control > Add to Version Control".

I did not find a Version Control item in the File menu, even when the menu was fully expanded.

I did find a toolbar icon that seemed to link to the command.

It's not a big deal, since I was able to find the icon, but I'm having other problems with version control (which I'll address in a separate post), and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my software.  Does everyone else have the "Version Control" command in the File menu?

Thanks!

Andreah

Hi there

Sometimes you have to reset a menu. To do this, right-click your menu bar and choose Customize. This should have the Toolbars tab in front. If not, click it. Then ensure the highlight is on the Menu Bar. Click the Reset button. Dismiss all dialogs. Does it show then?

Then again, Source Control isn't my cup of sorcery and I don't use it. So I've never had a reason to go looking for the command. Maybe it's just missing and the docs are wrong.

Cheers... Rick

That did the trick . . . Thank you so much!  I reset the menu, and now I'm able to see the Version Control command in the menu.
