Opening up Help with the TOC expanded (RH7)

New Here ,
Apr 30, 2009 Apr 30, 2009

Greetings.

This is actually two questions:

First, how do I configure RH7 so that when a user clicks Help, the TOC will open up fully expanded?  (The output is HTML; Help is not context-sensitive).

Secondarily, is there any way to configure it so that the TOC opens up fully expanded, but with the user's current page highlighted?

Thanks very much.

Regards,

Jerry

I'm guessing here you mean you want the RoboHelp created OUTPUT to open up with the TOC fully expanded. Not the RoboHelp application itself.

This depends on the output type you are using as well as the options used when you created it.

  • Microsoft HTML Help (CHM format)
  • WebHelp
  • FlashHelp

So which output format are you creating?

This also is dependent on what I mentioned earlier. Basically I'm referring to something called TOC Synchronization. Again, it all depends on the options used.

Unfortunately, until we know more we cannot provide a cohesive answer.

Cheers... Rick
