Optimization: Convert Auto-sizing, Custom-sized and text-only Popups to hyperlinks

Can I get a better explanation than what's available in help. I  am deploying these multiscreen  profiles /outouts for apple, android, and desktop on the web. I need them to be fully functional and I am confused on why and when I would check or uncheck these two settings.

By the way - I do have popups - both image and text ...

I believe some older devices do not support popups so if you have users with such devices, a hyperlink opening another page will be better.

The simple answer: enable them for mobile. You can disable them on desktop.

This option changes the popup to a regular hyperlink in your output

only. for Desktop, popups are fine. For mobile devices, they pose a

usability challenge (and not all devices respond the same.)

They seem to be working ok in my mobile web apps for now - perhaps it's html5 that can cause issues with popups... HTML5 developers need to work on making those more standard/accessible.

It's not HTML5, that's just a specification of allowed elements. The

problem is with usability on small screens. Try working with popups on a

3.5" screen. Your reader won't like that.
