Gosh this is so frustrating; seems that whenever I solve one problem in RH, I run into another one.
Like many, I am having trouble with ordered lists, but my problem is that whenever I convert the autonumber to a HTML list, the ordered list starts correctly at "1", but after the steps, it does not close with a </ol>. So after my steps, I have text that isn't numbered and is formatted correctly in terms of font and size, but it is indented as it's inside the ordered list! As a result, my heading 1, which is set to start a new topic, does not start a new topic and continues on the same topic until the end of my FrameMaker file chapter.
Anyone seen this?

OK, so I just couldn't fix the numbering issue and the pagination issue with the convert autonumber to HTML list option enabled.
As well, since my FM numbered list style uses tab stops in its definition, I noticed that all my list items converted with about 20 non-breaking spaces between the autonumber and the text in the step. that's EVERY single ordered or unordered list with all these non-breaking spaces. I was not happy.
I finally found a nice compromise by using the Convert autonumber to Robohelp list option and was able to format my paragraph, autonumber and text very nicely, but it sure took many many hours!
I'm sure I had trouble with lists because I am a novice, but if anyone else is having trouble, I will post the solution that worked for me. I just hope it works for my other lists, because I only tried it with one list type so far.
If the results are good, I'll post my instructions on how I got my results.
A demain.
