I'm trying to make a section and/or topic on a new page.  I believe I should be using Pagination by changing the heading "break before" option to Always, but that's not working.  Any help appreciated.

You haven't said which version of RoboHelp you are using. Please always start a thread with this information.

  • Please go to Help > About and include the full version number.
  • If you are using 2019 also state whether it is 2019 Classic or 2019 New UI.

This does sound like a new UI question as I don't recall that option being in Classic.

Are you aware the break only applies when printing?

Hi,

I'm using Robohelp 2022.2.22.  I'm trying to have the page break apply when outputting to a Word Document.

By "printing" I meant printing a topic from a browser. I don't believe that setting was meant to apply when generating a Word document. You can check with Support but I think that is what they will confirm.

See https://helpx.adobe.com/contact/enterprise-support.other.html#robohelp for your Adobe Support options. The email link tcssup@adobe.com is recommended as it reaches a team dedicated to Technical Communication Suite products including RoboHelp.

What you can do is in Word where you can apply Page Break Before to any style. Otherwise it's a manual task in the Word document.

What do you mean by "not working?"

My source looks like:
<h3 style="break-before: always">Heading_text</h3>

And so far with my testing, it outputs correctly with a page break in both PDF and Word, and without breaking in HTML5.
