PDF in FM produces blank pages once inserted inside RoboHelp

Explorer ,
Nov 10, 2010 Nov 10, 2010

I have the Communication Suite 2 - FrameMaker 9.0 p255 and RoboHelp 8.03

I have the following problem: I have inserted PDF pages inside FM using a batch Tool from Antea (France)

http://193.252.44.99/antea/logiciels/plugin_antea/pdf_plugin/FMImportPDF+.pdf

It works fine and can inserted automatically a pdf book inside an FM document. The structure of each FM page looks like using PDF import.

When I try to generate the manual from RoboHelp, All the manual pages are nice excepting the chapter including the pdf pages. Robohelp converts all the PDF pages to JPG files (1 by page) but all these pages are blank with the exception of the Title which has been written directly in FM.

I have tested the same document using MIF file with the same result.

I have tried also to save this document from FM using HTML and XML formats with no result: only two files were created: name.xml or htm and name.css.

From FM, saving the same document in RTF format produces a perfect result.

What can I do to ?

best regards

Hi,

I think you best contact the creater of the plugin. I don't think you can expect Adobe to support third party plugins in their linking mechanism. The plugin does something in FM, but how is RoboHelp supposed to know what's it to do with custom extensions?

Greet,

Willam
