Did I miss a setting in RoboHelp 7? I want to print a PDF, not a Word doc.
I select PDF, and make sure that Word is NOT selected, and when I generate the pdf, I notice in the compile log that Robohelp is still generating a Word document, and then generating a PDF based off of the Word document (which is usually screwed up, format-wise). I don't get it. Why would Adobe RoboHelp generate a Microsoft Word document in order to generate an Adobe PDF? I really hope it's just a setting that I missed. Sigh.

If you create a Word document, you can create a PDF of it. If you create a spreadsheet, you can PDF it. If you create a JPG, you can PDF it. PDF writers need an input from something else. Effectively when you PDF, you print but to a file that PDF readers can convert back. That is why PDF writers appear in your list of pirnters.

RH generates a Word document, PDFs it and then trashes the doc as you didn't want it. It is the only way it can be done.
