Problem with Drop-down text while importing from RH8 to RH5

We are trying to recreate a couple of projects currently in RH8 to RH5. The reason for this is that we have quite a few licenses of RH5, whereas we have only a couple of RH8 licenses. The output format is CHM.

While importing HTML topics from the RH8 project into the newly created project in RH5, the drop-down hotspots throw an error. On inspecting the HTML code, we observed that there is a lot of difference between the code for drop-down hotspot in RH8 and RH5. Can anyone help us in easy conversion of these topics?

Sorry but RoboHelp projects have never been backward compatible. Sure there have been ways of opening a project in an earlier version but they only worked where the new features had not been used.

RoboHelp 7 and 8 had major changes and you simply cannot do what you want to do.

You are going to have to either work on specific projects or upgrade the other users.
