I am trying to publish a newly created project in the latest version of Robohelp and need some guidance.  I have the project saved on my local drive and need to publish it to the same location.  When I set up to publish this project I must have done something wrong because I cannot locate the published project anywhere on my local drive.  In addition, it seems that alot of the Asset documents did not copy.

I relaize this is a fairly vague description, but if someone could point me to a tutorial about how to publish a project to a local drive using the latest version of Robohelp, it would really help.  Thank you.

So, you're running RH2020 - and your project is located on your local drive. Your output location should not be the same location as your actual project files - it has to be in a different folder. Usually I believe that defaults to something like My Documents - have a look in the Robohelp Reimagined sample project for info on the process (or check out Peter's site - grainge.org - for everthing RH)

It's usually in your "My Robohelp Projects" but you can always copy it from the c:\program files\ installation folder.

I think by publish to "the same location" you simply mean your local drive. What you cannot do is generate to the same folder as your project but you can generate to another folder on that drive.

You are talking about publishing. Generating and publishing are two different things. You must generate first and you generate to wherever you specify in the General settings in the preset. If you left that blank it will default Documents > My RoboHelp Projects.

Publishing is an additional step if you have been asked to publish to a server or a network drive for your developers, for example.
