Responsive and Multiscreen HTML5 Error

I recently upgraded from RoboHelp 10 to 11. I would like to take advantage of the new layouts, but I receive an error message when trying to generate the layouts. RoboHelp actually closes as the layouts are generating. Anyone else experiencing this error?

Hmm. Can you succesfully generate another SSL? (WebHelp or so?) And what

happens if you delete the current SSL and create a new one?

Yes. I am currently maintaining a large procedures manual in WebHelp. I wanted to implement some of the enhancements included in v11. I created a new SSL for both the Multiscreen and Responsive layouts and still get the error.

So you can generate WebHelp but not the new layouts, correct?

Try generating one of the new layouts from the supplied sample projects. Click Open on the RoboHelp Starter page and then click Samples in the ribbon on the left.

Thanks for the input. I was able to generate one of the sample projects. I think I may know what's causing the problem. I originally created this project in v10 and upgraded to v11. Do you think that the project file structure is missing certain file requirements since the project was created in an earlier version?

Doubtful and the responsive layout is new.

First just delete the CPD and reopen the project to see if you can generate then.

If not, create a build tag called Temp and go to Topic Files. Select half the topics and apply that tag. Generate a layout excluding those topics. If that works, repeat on the other half. Assuming one half fails keep repeating in that half until you isolate a rogue topic.

See where that takes you.
