RH 2017 - Footer info in Responsive HTML5 output appears disrupted

Hi,

I am noticing an issue in my Responsive HTML5 output footer. We have copyright information (2 to 3 lines) defined in the master page, properly formatted and aligned and applied on each page in the help. When we generate the Responsive output the alignment of the content does not look the same as in the master page.

The master page has it centre aligned but the output shows one line from the footer as left aligned. Also on some pages the footer portion is seen partially and rest is hidden. Any idea why this would be happening? Any tips to fix this?

Probably something in the screen layout styles is conflicting with the styles in the footer. That would explain why it looks fine in the master page but not in the output (the screen layout styles are not applied when viewing in RH nor when previewing, only when properly generated).

As for what specifically is causing the issue, you'll need to use the developer tools in your browser to see what is being applied to the misbehaving areas to figure out what's going on.

You'll want to check the misbehaving elements for styles coming from the screen layout stylesheet. Once you find the specific property causing the issue, the action you take again depends on a bunch of factors. Post back with how you go.

If you can't get to the bottom of it, a method of forcing a layout in a header/footer that I have used is to insert a borderless table.

That is really odd... but does happen methinks. Sometimes a file gets wonky...

Does your HTML show a different paragraph element?

Otherwise, every now and then I must delete some content or previously entered text; THEN Ienter the text again, - clean without any formatting. That often fixes the problem, and then I format the text as I originally desired, and it works, no problem.  .
