RH 2022 Frameless Studio output: Behaviour of "Favorites"

Participant ,

Hello, we published a frameless project with Template Studio. While testing the application, we received an error report regarding the favorites feature: Favorites are not saved in a list; only the last page saved as a favorite is available. No list. This means that there are no favorites within a session.
The same thing happened with the original Template Studio and different browsers (FF, Edge, Chrome). I suspected that this was related to the fact that we publish the project locally in the file system. In fact, saving favorites had been a customer request that we had carelessly agreed to. Does anyone have any idea how to get the favorites to work?

Ok, just confirmed that it's busted using Firefox - only remembers the last fav bookmarked.

I'm not even sure where you enable that in the frameless template - does testing with another design work at all?

Only in Responsive HTML5 output with themes that provide a Favorite button.  But these are not considered for publishing our output.

So you're saying that Favorites don't exist as a feature in Frameless outputs? Sounds like a wish list - use the Tracker (https://tracker.adobe.com/) to get that sort of thing on the RH folks' radar.

First of all test whether favourites work as expected by using them on my site.

Then test the About RoboHelp sample project.

Sorry, I'm late.
Yes, the Favorites on your site are working well.

No, the Favorites do not work with a fresh new frameless Output in a fresh new Studio skin. (only last page is listed, never more items)

And what about the sample project?

Oh, I didn't understand that because I wasn't familiar with these sample projects. Well, it's the same as with my projects: it doesn't work. Take a look at the images. They show the difference.

Seems to work fine on my test copy of RH2022.6.34. What version are you running?

RH2022.6.34
My colleague with the same RH version tested it on her computer and experienced the same fault.

Sorry, I just realized my test was using the Orange template - changed that to Studio and had another look - still stores favs just fine (using Chrome to look at the output). Are you making any changes to the Studio template in your test with the sample project? Because all I did was change Orange for Studio, generated again and viewed the output in my test.

Okay, that leads me to believe it could be the browser. And indeed:
FF (current version) Error
Chrome okay
Edge okay
At least that's clear.

The issue is with Firefox but report it to Adobe. Maybe they can fix it but it won't be in the short term.
