RoboHelp HTML version 8.0.2
Hello!
I've been working on a project for a few months, and RH has been a champ....until yesterday. It crashed when I attempted to generate a CHM file, which it has never done before!
It generates printed documentation just fine.
I have deleted the CPD file and attempted again, but no improvement. Please help!

Hi Georgina.
Can you roll back to a point before yesterday and see if it compiles? If not, try creating a new Single Source Layout.

Colum,
I tried out my backup file and it works - but it's a week old, so I'd REALLY rather not have to recreate a week's worth of changes at this point. The weird thing is, the day it happened, I was able to generate the CHM all morning, but when I came back after lunch? Poof, no more CHM.
I also tried out your suggestion of creating a new layout, and RoboHelp still dies during the CHM creation. I must have accidentally deleted a file. I did remove some files from the project, but I was VERY careful (or thought I was!) about what I deleted. Do you know of any one single file whose absence might cause this problem?

Update: I looked through the files I deleted, and there's nothing in there that should cause any sort of problem. It's all standard image files and help pages that I created.

What happens if you do the same actions with one of the supplied sample projects?
