rh2020 - updates to source disappear after upgrading project to update 2020.6.76

Noticed a strange thing. I opened a RH project after many months. I had last updated it on RH 2020 update 5 and saved some tags and conditional expressions. I opened the project in RH 2020.6.76 and noticed that the tags and conditional expressions have disappeared. The project went through an upgrade while opening.

Does that happen? Has anyone noticed such a scenario?

I haven't seen anyone report tags and expressions disappearing through an upgrade.

Try opening the project again to see if they appear. Also try an earlier backup but copy it first.

You can recover the tags easily from an earlier copy using File Explorer. The expressions are in the json files in the .rh folder. That I am told can be deleted and rebuilds itself and I have done so. Quite how it rebuilds the expressions I don't know. Copy what you have and try, if it fails, then it was just a copy so you are no worse off.
