Hello Chrchlcci:
We've been importing PDF's from their original Adobe format
into Robohelp X5 for about 3 years now.
The only problem is once you import it, the import process
requires you to convert it to jpeg. So its text not searchable.
That is, suppose you have the statement "Hello Crazy Monkey"
in a pdf file. You can go ahead and import it using the Robohelp
"Import pdf file" option from the File--> Import menu, but then
when you use the search to try finding "Hello Crazy Monkey", you
won't find it. The reason being that the pdf is now an image (jpeg
usually), and the text isn't treated as TEXT!
If your question is in relation to inserting pdfs directly
into RH in its original pdf form, you can always create a hyperlink
and put it into the local folder.
We've done this before too. That is, create a hyperlink to
the filename and put that pdf file in the local folder. Local
folder is the "WebHelp" folder. So every time your
republish/regenerate, you would have to manually add it in the end.
Let me know if you need additional information about this.
Take Care.
