RH7 search problem for Japanese version

Hi,

While I compile Japanese version HTML help files with RoboHelp 7, the Search function does not work (Searching the word in the CHM file will return "No topics found" information). I am wondering if there is anyone who have met same problem and is there any hint for it?

Hi Elaine and welcome to the community.

Was this a project that was upgraded from a previous version of RoboHelp (version 6 or earlier)?  Also, try right-clicking a topic in your CHM and choosing View Source.  Do the Japanese characters show up correctly there?

Thanks a lot for your reply. I have found the root cause of my problem: I ignored the three update patches, meanwhile, in Regional and Language Options/Regional Options tab, standards and formats must be selected as Japanese.
